Cement capacity utilisation may fall a tad to 82% in 2010
January 16, 2010 07:26:18India, the second-largest cement industry in the world, saw despatches grow 10.8% year on year to 17.7 million tonnes in December 2009. Though 30 mt (around 12%) is expected to be added in the calendar year 2010 to the existing total capacity of 242 mt, the rise in the despatch figures has brought cheers to manufacturers and analysts alike.
