GST to lower tax burden by 30%'
December 24, 2009 10:45:56Union revenue secretary PV Bhide on Wednesday said that the net tax burden on tax-payers will go down by as much as 25-30% after the introduction of Goods & Service Tax (GST) as inefficiencies and multiplicities of the current taxation system would be completely removed in the new system.Inaugurating the Assocham's national conference on "GST - Roadmap To 2010" here, the revenue secretary added that real estate would be brought under the GST net, and discussions in this regar...
