• Hiring Activities Dips by 1.9%: Naukari JobSpeak

  The Naukri.com Job Index for May, 2009 declined by 1.9 per cent as against April, 2009. Report says that overall activity in hiring job in May 2009 has fall down by 1.9 than April 2009. The overall Job index was at 677 in Apr '09 while it was at 664 in May '09. Telecom and Pharma sector has slow down nearly 12% and 14% respectively in hiring employees while FMCG, Foods and Beverage sector move up by 9% in May '09 as compared to Apr '09, inching closer to July levels. Also, report shows that Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh has shown fall and Kolkata saw an increase in hiring activity by 14%, Naukri JobSpeak is the monthly job index that provides an insight into the hiring trends across sectors based on real job listings on Naukri.com.
